About
A place to try your first order
Exchange screens show spending amounts, asset quantities, and wallet values side by side. They are easy to mix up. FirstStep lets you practice buying, placing orders, and choosing a network without making a deposit. Buying and placing orders here simulate exchange spot trading; the network exercise covers checks before an on-chain transfer. These are different operations.
How the lessons work
Each lesson uses fixed calculation rules so you can compare your choices. The first-purchase exercise starts with 1,000 virtual USDT and uses 50,000 USDT per BTC and a 0.1% fee; the limit-order exercise lets you change the example ask. Fees are rounded to the nearest cent. BTC quantities keep eight decimal places, with further digits dropped.
How real trading is different
Real prices and fees can change. Orders and transfers may take time. Platforms may require identity checks and restrict services in some locations. Practice does not remove these risks. You do not need to provide wallet private keys, recovery phrases or exchange keys to use this website.
Why the lessons are free
The exercises are free. Some platform links are referral links, and we may earn a commission if you register through them. This does not change the calculations, and we do not promise returns.
How these guides are put together
This site uses AI to help organize sources, draft, and translate. Platform rules are linked to official documentation. Numerical cases and simulations are created for this site with their prices, rates, and assumptions stated. They are not personal trading records or exchange-reviewed guidance.
Screenshots include their source and capture date; the interface may differ from your current account. Article dates change when the content is revised. Rules may vary by region, account tier, and product, so check the current screen for your account.
If a step is unclear, you can leave feedback on the result page after completing its exercise. Do not include account passwords, private keys, or recovery phrases.
