The USDT name alone is not enough

Why is “USDT” not enough?

Assets with the same name can exist on different blockchains. A recipient supporting Ethereum USDT does not necessarily support Tron USDT. Direct transfers require support for the same asset and network on both sides. Bridges are a separate operation outside this practice.

What else needs checking?

Verify the token contract, recipient address, required memo or tag, deposit and withdrawal status, and minimum amounts. An address looking valid does not prove a platform can receive the asset.

A small test still needs the math

This example sends 10 USDT, deducts a 1 USDT illustrative fee, and receives 9 USDT, above the example 5 USDT minimum receipt. These are not current fees. A real test must cover the fee and meet the recipient’s minimum.
